Write one to two introductory sentences about your unit where you tell your users what you offer. Using the “Blockquote” text format with relevant keywords for your opening paragraph will help readers quickly identify what information to expect from your page.
In one to two short paragraphs, add more details on what you do or offer using the general “Paragraph” text format. We recommend keeping your text brief, clear, concise, simple, and rid of jargon. We encourage you to write in second person and to keep a tone that matches your unit’s identity and is appropriate for your primary audience.
To help with Search Engine Optimization (SEO), you should include your keywords in this introductory section.
After your introductory sentences, you can include a “button” module that links to your “About” page, where users can read more details about your unit there. For example, you can use the text “Learn more about us”.
Following your introductory section of your homepage, you can then add visual modules to highlight your key goals, for example, highlighting your programs or research streams. If you would like to simply display an image with a title, you can use the “button with image” module. If you would like to display an image, title, short description, and a call to action, you can use the “card with image” module (there is a large, medium, and small version you can use).
Option 1: Button with image (image + title)
Option 2: Card with image (image + title + short description + call to action)
Program / Research Stream

Add a testimonial that showcases the benefits of your program, why it's great for students, or an experience that summarizes what being in the program is like.
After highlighting your main goals in visual cards and adding an optional testimonial, you can then include news and events. If you would like to display a general feed of the top 3 most recently published news posts, you can insert a “news list feed” module. If you have 1-3 particular news items that you would like to highlight on your homepage, you can insert a “featured news” module and assign a “featured-homepage” category on those specific news posts (this option requires a bit more effort to maintain). The same options apply for highlighting events.
